What it is
Project-level checkpoints — Vertical Slice / Alpha / Beta / Gold — with a name, description, status (Active / Completed), due date, and a list of associated task IDs. Progress is the percentage of linked tasks completed.
When to use it
- Setting calendar-anchored deliverable dates the whole team can align on.
- Tracking progress toward Vertical Slice / Alpha / Beta / Gold.
- Linking a milestone to the tasks that comprise it so progress updates automatically.
- Sharing a date-driven roadmap with a publisher.
How to use it
- 1Click "+ New Milestone" — name, description, due date.
- 2Link tasks by ID (or via the Task Board's "Milestone" dropdown on each task).
- 3Mark complete when shipped — auto-snapshot fires same as sprint completion.
- 4Visualize order in the Timeline module.
Tips you should know
- →Overdue milestones get a red badge; the dashboard highlights them.
- →Linked tasks are by ID — renaming the task doesn't break the link.
- →A completed milestone with overdue date keeps the original due date for historical accuracy.
- →Pitch Maker can include the upcoming milestone list if Production sections are enabled.
